We were commissioned by Fleet Architects to make the upholstery and curtains for The Shakespeare a new pub, workspace and holiday accommodation that they had brought and designed.

We worked alongside them to finialise the specs for the upholstery and curtains. The pop of in the curtains and the rust and oranges tones in the upholstery work so well alongside the rustic feel of the walls and wood tone.

We are absolutely delighted with the results and it is already one of our favourites pubs to go to.

The Shakespeare

We were first approcahed by the owner of the Bedford Inn to do the interior for the basement of the pub with the view of turning it into a dining room and event space. Over the course of two years we went on to renovate the the upper two floors.

In the main bar the colour scheme, furniture and accesories were updated.

In the upper floor all of the upstairs rooms were fully stripped out, remodelled and renovated. We designed a full interior schemes for each room with each room having it's own look. In all bedrooms we made and installed the double pinch pleat curtains, cushions and bed runners. The gorgeous results are in the photos below.

We were delighted be asked by Lee and Charlotte of Angela's of Margate to make headboards, curtains, roman blinds and cushions for the new Angela's Rooms.

The sustainability unpins everything that Angela's does and this ethos is no different for these magnificent looking hotel rooms. Sustainable design is something that is close to our heart and we relished the challenge of finding fabrics that worked with their vision for the rooms and met the sustainable brief. After consultation and whittling down options Camira Aquarius was selected for the curtains and our own brand range of sustainable fabrics from the Domus Mea collection were used for the head boards. These three fabrics were then used for the bed scatter cushions to help tie the room together. In the top bedroom we made a bolster cushion in Camira Blazer to add an extra level of comfort on the sofa.

We are absolutely delighted with the results and would love to stay in these stunning rooms.

We were initially asked by our client to upholster their lovely Ercol Windsor sofa but they were looking for a twist on the traditional design, they wanted a couple of scatter cushions to add a bit of lower back comfort. As you can see from the photos we used two fabrics a Romo Linara fabric and Warwick Tweed, switching them round for the main fabric and piping, this helped create a little contrast but  helping connect the two.

We were also asked us to make a roman blind for the children's room to create a coastal feel without going down the traditional ticking stripe route often used in coastal room schemes. The gorgeous Ripple stripe from A Rum Fellow complimented all of the colours in the room and really brought the room together.

The client is delighted with the outcome and so are we.
